From Volvo Performance Heritage to the Future of Polestar Tuning

JVD Performance may be a new name, but our story started long before the first product carried the JVD badge.

Our roots sit inside a rare chapter of Australian Volvo and Polestar performance history. Long before Polestar became the standalone EV performance brand known today, Australia had already helped prove that there was real demand for a high-performance Volvo road car.

 

2011/2012

Where It All Began: Australia’s S60 T6 Polestar

Before the later factory-developed S60 Polestar arrived, Volvo Australia had already created something special: a numbered S60 T6 Polestar limited edition.

Based on the S60 T6 R-Design AWD, this 50-car Australian project combined Polestar tuning with HEICO hardware, including HEICO forged wheels and a quad-outlet HEICO exhaust. It carried Polestar identity through its blue boot badge and numbered interior build plate, making it one of the most important early links between Volvo Australia, Polestar, and HEICO.

This was more than a special edition. It was proof that Australia had an appetite for a high-performance Volvo road car.

For enthusiasts, it showed that a refined Scandinavian sedan could carry genuine performance character without losing its premium identity.

 

 

That car represented something important. It brought together three names that matter deeply to our story: Volvo, Polestar, and HEICO.

For Australia, it proved that Volvo performance could be more than an idea. It could be real, desirable, limited, and exciting. For enthusiasts, it showed that a refined Scandinavian sedan could carry genuine performance character without losing its premium identity.

That history sits close to home for us.

 

2015

The HEICO Australia Chapter

From 2015, we carried that performance spirit forward as HEICO Australia. Through HEICO Australia, we built our foundation in premium Volvo tuning, styling, wheels, exhaust systems, and enthusiast culture.

It gave us first-hand experience with owners who wanted more from their Volvos, not just more power, but more identity, more presence, and a more personal connection to their cars.

That chapter shaped the way we think about performance today.

 

 

2025

The Evolution Into JVD Performance

JVD Performance is the next evolution of that heritage.

Where HEICO Australia gave us our foundation, JVD gives us the freedom to go further. More premium. More design-led. More ambitious. More focused on the future of Volvo, Polestar, and Geely Group performance.

We are not leaving that history behind.

 

The JVD Geely EX5 Program

The Geely EX5 represents JVD Performance’s expansion into the next generation of everyday EV personalization.

JVD’s future is not limited to heritage platforms. The Geely EX5 marks our expansion into everyday EV personalization, proving that even practical electric vehicles can be made sharper, bolder and more emotional.

Not every electric vehicle needs to feel plain, quiet, or forgettable. With the EX5, JVD is showing how a practical modern EV can be transformed into something sharper, sportier, and more exciting to own. Through our body styling package, forged wheels, lowering springs, blackout details, and EV sound development, we are giving the EX5 a stronger road presence and a more emotional identity.

This program is an important step for JVD because it proves our philosophy is not limited to premium performance cars. We believe even everyday EVs deserve character. The goal is simple: take a clean electric platform and give it the stance, style, and attitude that makes owners proud to look back at it.

2026

The First Polestar 4 Bodykit in the World

With the development of our Polestar 4 bodykit, JVD Performance is stepping into a defining moment for modern Polestar tuning.

This is the first bodykit in the world for the Polestar 4. Not a concept waiting for someone else to prove the market. Not a generic styling exercise. This is a real JVD development program created to set the benchmark for what high-performance Polestar personalization can look like.

The Polestar 4 is one of the most important premium EV platforms of the new era. It is fast, refined, futuristic and unmistakably Scandinavian, but JVD saw an opportunity to take it further. Our vision is to give the car a stronger visual identity, a lower and more purposeful stance, sharper aerodynamic styling, and the kind of road presence that turns a premium EV into something truly emotional.

For JVD, this build is more than a product release. It is a statement of intent.

We are not waiting for the Polestar aftermarket to be defined by someone else. We are building it first. From body styling to forged wheels, lowering upgrades and future performance solutions, JVD is positioning itself at the front of the Polestar tuning movement, creating parts for owners who want their cars to feel more exclusive, more expressive and more alive.

This is why our campaign statement is Home of High Performance Polestar.

It represents the lane we intend to own. JVD is building toward becoming the leading name in Polestar performance and personalization, not only in Australia, but globally. The Polestar 4 bodykit is the clearest expression of that ambition so far: a first-in-the-world build designed to show what the future of premium EV tuning can become.
